Yes. The best time for tours is Monday-Friday 11am - 1 pm, for staff overlap. You can see into the grooming areas and in the main boarding room to see the different types of rooms. For safety and liability, customers are not able to enter areas in contact with dogs and we ask you please do not stick your hands into kennels. Naturally, the dogs will bark when they see a new person enter their "home," but most of the dogs are settled and quiet throughout the day.
Overnight, the facility is locked secure, including doggy doors, with security system monitoring. All enclosures have an extra lock for security. Outdoor dog patios are turf laid over concrete and are fully enclosed in chain-link including a ceiling. There is an additional vinyl fence surrounding all dog patios and around the property. Cameras are monitored throughout the entire facility, including outside. VIP suites have personal cameras for the family to view 24/7. Fire/smoke detectors/sprinklers are throughout the facility and linked directly to the fire department for immediate response. Facility doors are self closing and are set up as a "pull" not a "push" so dogs cannot push doors open. The entire back area where dogs are housed is protected by a fire-safe wall. The A/C system is constantly circulating fresh air to reduce airborne viruses. Temperatures indoors are set to automatically stay consistently cool and comfortable 68-73 degrees F.
For boarding and daycare, we require rabies, DAPP, and bordetella for dogs. Cats are required to have rabies and FVRCP.
For grooming, we only ask that the rabies vaccine is up to date. Puppies must have age appropriate shots.
Dogs must be fully vaccinated, which usually occurs by 16 weeks old.
Yes, just know there is a chance it may be destroyed and in that case, the toys/bedding will be removed. All toys and bedding must be able to be left with the pet safely unsupervised.

If it's your first time in, your groomer will meet with you at check in and find out how you would like the dog to be cut. Pictures are very helpful, but if you aren't sure exactly how you want your pup trimmed, no worries! Some guidance as far as short and smooth, short with a little fluff but low maintenance, medium/ half off, fluffy, long and flowing, are all great ways to guide your groomer to the perfect style! This is also the time to let us know about any health or behavior issues, or injuries your dog may have. If you know your dog doesn't like something to be done, please be honest with us to keep everyone safe.
Once the groomer has a good idea what you're looking for, please confirm your contact info with our receptionist and we will call or text you when the pup is done or almost done. Please let us know ahead of time if you have any time restrictions on your day.
Your pup will get their bath and blow dry with our bathers first, then come out to the table for your groomer to complete the rest of the process.
Many factors can affect your appointment, but in general, small dog grooming takes about 2-2.5 hours, large dogs take about 2.5-4 hours. You can ask your groomer at drop off to get a closer approximation and are always welcome to call in during the appointment to find out how much longer to better plan your day.
While we groom in plain sight and have nothing to hide, we find it is best for the dog and the groomer if the owner is not present or watching. Dogs whose owners are present tend to get very excited, wiggly and distracted and this makes your groomers job much more difficult and dangerous. Especially with puppies, your dog's time with the groomer is like a training session, where they are being taught how to behave and what is expected of them. They are bonding and learning to trust your groomer. If the pup's owner is present, they usually want nothing to do with the groomer and are much more concerned with how they can escape and get to their owner.
Ideally, your pup's first grooming appointment would be at about 3-4 months old and would be a bath or touch up appointment. This gets your pup used to the grooming salon tools, sounds and smells as an introduction. For puppies who are very timid or nervous, this may be all that is possible on their first visit.
For long haired breeds, usually they get their first trim by the next appointment at 5-6 months old.
